Planning to cruise around the city this weekend or early next week?
You might want to hit the road a bit earlier than usual. Dubai’s RTA just dropped a heads-up about roadworks kicking off from Friday, May 30 to Tuesday, June 3 — and yep, they’re likely to slow things down on two major roads.
The roadworks will hit the Sheikh Rashid Street and Al Mina Street intersection, with delays kicking in from 1 AM on Friday, May 30, and sticking around until 5 AM on Tuesday, June 3.
Why the holdup?
Dubai’s all about upgrading — a little traffic now means smoother rides later. RTA is encouraging drivers and commuters to plan ahead and explore alternate routes to steer clear of any hassle.
Your traffic escape plan starts here:
- Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Street
- Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street
- Jumeirah Street
- Kuwait Street
- 2nd of December Street
Whether you’re grabbing lunch or just getting across town, it’s smart to give yourself a time buffer to dodge the traffic jams.
