and Becomes Reality
Living in beachfront accommodation may sound like a dream come true, with every blast of salty air immediately bringing a vacation feeling and a laid-back mood.
In Dubai, many waterfront neighbourhoods provide residents with access to a private beach. The beaches themselves offer various leisure facilities and a well-developed infrastructure, including public showers, changing cubicles and Wi-Fi. Some villas have their own beach, promising the ultimate relaxation.
Taking all the advantages of beachfront living into consideration, it’s only natural that demand for this type of location is high, however the offer is limited. As a result, locations near the waterfront add significantly to the price tag of the property.
But the city has found a way to alleviate this problem, by building giant man-made islands off the coast that have considerably extended the shoreline. The Palm Jumeirah alone increased the Dubai coastline by a total of 520 kilometres.
