Dubai’s favourite family destination took a pause due to the severe weather, but they will be reopening their doors
After several severe weather warnings yesterday, some of Dubai’s popular outdoor spots, like Global Village, temporarily closed to keep visitors and staff safe. But now that the storm has passed and the sun is back shining across the city, your outdoor weekend plans are good to go! Time to make the most of the beautiful weather!
Global Village
Taking to their official Instagram, Global Village posted a story stating, ”Enjoy this amazing day at Global Village. We welcome you today from 4pm’
Expo City Dubai – Winter City
Expo City Dubai also took to Instagram to announce their reopening, posting a fun story that read, “A North Pole cloud floated into Al Wasl, but our elves are still waiting to welcome you! Winter City is open today with loads of fun for everyone!”
They also encouraged visitors to wear rain boots and embrace the puddles, making it clear that the weather won’t stop the fun!
Still currently closed
Another outdoor spot that’s closed due to the weather is Hatta Wadi Hub. So, if you were planning to end your week with some thrills there, it looks like you’ll need to reschedule for another time. Hopefully, the weather clears up soon so you can hit it up next weekend!
Hatta Wadi Hub shared an update saying, “All DSF x Hatta Wadi Hub activities are cancelled on December 19 due to the weather forecast.”
They also added, “Safety first! We look forward to welcoming you back for a fun-filled experience as soon as the skies clear. Stay tuned for more updates.” So, looks like it’s all about waiting for better weather, but they’ll be ready to host you when things clear up!
