Yep, you heard that right. Dubai’s about to level up its skyline again with another jaw-dropping architectural marvel. The Muraba Veil is set to be one of the world’s slimmest residential towers, rising along the iconic Dubai Water Canal.
Designed to be just one apartment wide, the Muraba Veil will stretch a sleek 22.5 meters (about 73 feet) across, soaring up to a jaw-dropping 380 meters (1,247 feet) tall. That’s 74 storeys, plus five basement levels. It’s set to house around 131 luxury units, featuring a mix of 2, 3, 4, and 5-bedroom apartments — talk about ultra-slim living with sky-high views.

While Muraba is leading the charge on this bold new project, the Muraba Veil is actually the result of a powerhouse collaboration with the acclaimed RCR Arquitectes, and engineering giants WSP and Arup. According to the Dubai Land Department, the tower is valued at a cool AED 775,783,000 — that’s around $211.2 million USD. Definitely not your average real estate play.
The origins of the design…
The design takes cues from traditional Arabian homes, reimagined for ultra-modern luxury. The Muraba Veil is set to become one of Dubai’s most exclusive addresses — a serene escape right in the city’s core. Think total privacy meets nature: lush greenery, crystal-clear water features, and private vegetation woven throughout. The residences feel more like elevated garden villas, complete with expansive, greenery-filled terraces.

The building’s facade is set to be its standout feature, designed to maximize natural airflow and minimize the need for artificial air conditioning. Inspired by traditional Islamic Mashrabiya screens—those intricate, ornamental panels that once shielded Arabian home balconies—the design will offer sun protection while maintaining complete privacy for residents. It’s a beautiful blend of heritage and innovation.
The building will be draped in a movable stainless steel mesh facade, drawing inspiration from time-honored traditions while offering a striking fusion of the modern and the classic. It’s a seamless mix of old-world charm and contemporary design. This innovative facade will allow residents to adjust the level of privacy and visibility, both inside and out, giving them ultimate control over their space.
Exclusive to residents, the tower will boast luxury amenities like an underground wellness spa, a fine dining restaurant, a private cinema, and serene inner courtyards featuring lush greenery, shaded seating, and tranquil pools.
