Atlantis The Royal and Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) have teamed up with Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer to drop Diamond in the Desert — a stunning new piece inspired by his immersive Dubai experience — as part of the iconic Skyblaze Fountain Show at the resort.
The 4.5-minute show brings together water, fire, and light perfectly synced to Zimmer’s masterpiece. It premieres this Friday, September 12, at 7 PM. For the ultimate experience, catch it from the resort’s restaurants—so if you’re keen, make sure to lock in those bookings!
Hans Zimmer’s a legend, known for epic scores like The Lion King, Gladiator, Inception, Dune, and most recently, the F1 movie soundtrack. With over 200 film and TV credits, he’s snagged multiple Oscars, GRAMMYs, and Golden Globes.
Diamond in the Desert is his very first composition crafted specifically for a destination, making it super special. Through this track, Zimmer brings Dubai’s story to life like never before.
On the track, Zimmer shares, “Dubai’s energy, boldness, ambition, and its incredible cultural blend have always inspired me. With Diamond in the Desert, I aimed to capture that vibe — something powerful, cinematic, and deeply tied to this extraordinary city.”

The track is part of Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert, a cinematic global event featuring his music performed across Dubai’s most iconic landmarks.

Right at the heart of the resort is The Skyblaze Fountain Show — one of the world’s most unique spectacles where water and fire dance in perfect harmony, creating ever-changing patterns and moves that feel fresh every time. With over 1,400 color-changing lights, the fountain bursts into liquid fireworks, feathery water arcs, and suspenseful moments as mist gently veils the scene.
The show runs from 7 PM to midnight, every 30 minutes, and lasts 4.5 minutes each time.
