More flights, more tapas, more Gaudí — here’s when the new route launches
Got Barcelona on your bucket list (because, let’s be real — who doesn’t)? Emirates is making it easier than ever to get there. Starting Sunday, October 26, they’re adding a third daily flight from Dubai to the vibrant Spanish city to keep up with demand. That means more flexibility, more options, and one step closer to your next European adventure.
With the new flight added, Emirates will now be flying between Dubai and Barcelona 21 times a week. Travellers can choose from departures out of DXB at 3:45am, 8:15am, and 2:00pm. On the return from El Prat Airport (BCN), flights take off at 3:10pm, 3:30pm, and 8:25pm — giving you plenty of flexibility to plan your perfect itinerary.
With its sun-soaked beach promenades, buzzing culture, and iconic architecture, Barcelona is a year-round favorite — and the added flights couldn’t come at a better time, just in time for the autumn travel season.
Not planning a trip to Spain this year? No worries — you can still soak up the Spanish vibes without leaving the UAE. Just check out What’s On’s curated guide to experiencing Spain (and a few other countries) right here in Dubai — no passport required.
Tickets for the new flight are available now on emirates.com, the Emirates App, or through travel agents and Emirates retail outlets.
Fly, then ride: Emirates partners with Uber
Along with the extra flights, Emirates is teaming up with Uber to make your door-to-door travel way smoother. Soon, frequent flyers can rack up Skywards Miles on Uber rides in select cities — and even redeem Uber ride vouchers when booking Emirates flights. Travel just got a whole lot more seamless.
It’s all about making every step of your journey—from front door to touchdown—smooth, effortless, and rewarding.
