In 2022, Emirates launched Premium Economy, a product that sits between Economy and Business, offering extra comfort and Business Class-style meals without the hefty price tag of Business Class. Since its debut in August 2022, the airline has rolled out Premium Economy on several flight routes, and this expansion is set to continue. By February 2025, Emirates plans to offer Premium Economy on flights to more than 36 cities.

The Premium Economy cabin features 56 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 layout. These spacious, cream leather seats are designed for maximum comfort, with 6-way adjustable headrests, calf rests, and footrests, allowing passengers to fully relax. Each seat comes with a 13.3-inch screen, convenient charging points, a spacious dining table, and a cocktail table for added convenience.
Premium Economy passengers are also treated to a welcome drink served in fine glassware, along with a Business Class-style meal service. Meals are served on elegant chinaware, with stainless steel cutlery wrapped in a linen napkin, enhancing the overall dining experience.
How much does Emirates Premium Economy cost?
Exactly! While the cost can vary based on the destination, flight occupancy, and how far in advance you book, Premium Economy fares are generally closer to Economy prices than Business Class. It offers a more affordable upgrade for those seeking extra comfort without the full Business Class price tag.
A quick look at Emirates’ website reveals that a one-way flight from Dubai to New York’s JFK this summer would cost around AED 2,655 in Economy, while Premium Economy would set you back AED 4,645. For Business Class on the same route, you’re looking at a fare of AED 14,765.
For a shorter flight from Dubai to London Heathrow, Economy fares start at AED 1,335 one-way, while Premium Economy is priced at AED 3,105. Business Class fares for the same route begin at AED 8,885.
