Holiday in the honour of Arafah Day and Eid-Al-Adha 2024 in the UAE
The United Arab Emirates eagerly awaits the arrival of Arafah Day and Eid-al-Adha. According to tradition, Eid Al Adha commemorates Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son as commanded by God. Ibrahim informed his son of the dream, and his son willingly consented. However, God intervened by sending a sheep to be sacrificed instead.
Eid Al Adha typically involves several days off for both the public and private sectors, marking a festive period from June 15 to June 18. Arafah Day, the pinnacle of Islamic sacred days, falls on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, corresponding to June 15. Following this, the joyous celebrations of Eid Al Adha span from June 16 to June 18, encompassing the 10th to the 12th of Dhul Hijjah.
