The UAE’s Ministry of Interior has officially rolled out its flagship road safety campaign, ‘A Day Without Accidents’.
Drivers across the UAE are invited to sign a pledge through an online portal
Drivers across the Emirates are urged to commit to safe driving. Those who register and follow the safety guidelines before August 25 will earn a reward: four black points will be automatically deducted from their traffic records on September 15, 2025—no need to visit service centers.
August 25 is the deadline because it will be one of the busiest days for UAE roads
With most schools reopening across the Emirates on that day, the initiative highlights the importance of key safety measures — wearing seatbelts, sticking to speed limits, keeping safe distances, and avoiding distractions like mobile phone use — to help cut down accidents and injuries on the roads.
Signing the pledge is a fairy simple process for all UAE residents
To sign up, simply head over to the Ministry of Interior’s official website, log in, and sign the pledge!
According to The National, over 300,000 drivers across the UAE took part in last year’s campaign. Brigadier Engineer Hussein Al Harthi, Chairman of the Federal Traffic Council at the Ministry of Interior, emphasized that the initiative plays a key role in the government’s mission to make roads safer for everyone.
“We’re focused on launching campaigns that promote safer driving by encouraging positive behavior,” he said.
“This requires everyone’s cooperation — drivers, pedestrians, and the whole community. We chose the first day of school to kick off the campaign because student safety is our top priority.”
