Palm Jabel Ali relaunch: First residents are set to move in from 2026

That’s only two years away…

The relaunch of Palm Jebel Ali is set to be one of Dubai’s most thrilling upcoming megaprojects.

But details on timelines have been scarce—until now. On August 24, Palm Jebel Ali developer Nakheel announced that it has awarded an Dhs810 million contract for the island’s marine works, marking a significant milestone in its redevelopment.

And that’s not all—Nakheel also confirmed that the first villas on Palm Jebel Ali, which went on sale in September 2023, are expected to be handed over by late 2026.

Spread across four fronds, the villas come in two types: Coral and Beach, with eight distinct styles available for each. Drawing inspiration from nature’s beauty, these beachfront villas boast floor-to-ceiling windows, open directly onto private beaches, and are elegantly finished in luxurious neutral tones. Prices start at just under Dhs18 million.

If you’re looking for something a bit more modest, several apartment blocks will also be developed on the 13.4 square kilometre island. Sales for these apartments are expected to follow the villa offerings.

About Palm Jebel Ali

After coming to a standstill in 2009 due to the global financial crisis, the project received new life earlier this year. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, confirmed the development’s restart. In May 2023, he unveiled a masterplan for the manmade island, featuring hotels, beaches, residences, and leisure attractions.

The island will eventually cover 13.4 kilometers, with 16 fronds and 91 kilometers of beachfront. It will also introduce 80 new hotels to Dubai.
