That’s where I come in! Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to extend your UAE entry permit so you can fully enjoy everything this amazing country has to offer, without any extra visa hassles.

How To Extend Your Entry Permit

The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICP) provides a convenient online service for extending your entry permit. The length of the extension depends on the type of entry permit you have, taking into account factors like the duration and the number of times you’re allowed to apply for an extension.

Types Of Extensions

The type of extension you can apply for depends on the duration of your current permit and your visa type. Extensions are available for either 30 days or more.

30-Day Extensions

There are three main types of permits that can be extended for 30 days.

  1. Tourism Entry Permit: Can be extended twice for 30 days each through tourism companies.
  2. Visit Visa Entry Permit: Can also be extended twice for 30 days each.
  3. Entry Permit for Residents of GCC Countries: Can be extended once for 30 days.

Required Documents: For all these permits, you’ll need to provide a copy of your passport.

Fees:

Tourism Entry Permit Extension: AED 610 (includes AED 10 e-services fee)
Visit Visa Entry Permit Extension: AED 610 (includes AED 10 e-services fee)
Entry Permit for Residents of GCC Countries Extension: AED 710 (includes AED 10 e-services fee)

Extensions For More Than 30 Days

If you need to stay longer than 30 days, you can extend the following three types of permits:

  1. Entry Permit for Treatment: Can be extended for 90 days.
  2. Entry Permit for Companions of GCC Citizens: Can be extended for 60 days.
  3. Entry Permit to Study: Can be extended for 90 days.

Required Documents: For all these permits, you’ll need to provide a copy of your passport.

Fees:

Entry Permit for Treatment Extension: AED 510 (includes AED 10 e-services fee)
Entry Permit for Companions of GCC Citizens Extension: AED 260 (includes AED 10 e-services fee)
Entry Permit to Study Extension: AED 610 (includes AED 10 e-services fee)

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for an entry permit extension, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Your passport must be valid for more than 6 months.
  • Follow all instructions and requirements provided during the application process to avoid cancellation of your request.
