The UAE Issued A New Labour Law With Fines Reaching AED1 Million

The UAE Government introduced a Federal Decree-Law to regulate employment relationships, imposing fines ranging from AED 100,000 to AED 1,000,000.

Violators who will face fines:

  1. Employs a worker without a valid work permit or brings workers without offering them a job.
  2. Shuts down a business without settling workers’ rights.
  3. Engages in any act that circumvents labor market regulations, including fake employment practices.
  4. Hires a minor in violation of the law.

The penalty will increase depending on the number of workers falsely employed, particularly in cases of fake Emiratisation.
