Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a spectacular Wicked drone show lighting up the skies of Dubai for one-night-only on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Set against the iconic Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai, the Wicked-themed drone show will kick off at 7:25 PM, bringing to life characters and scenes from the much-anticipated cinematic debut of the film.
Using 500 drones, the show will feature stunning formations of Wicked’s beloved characters, Glinda and Elphaba, lighting up Dubai with an incredible display of lights and colors.

The movie tells the story of Glinda, a popular blonde girl, and Elphaba, a green-skinned outcast who faces instant judgment. Initially, the two don’t get along, but their relationship evolves, leading to an unexpected bond after a fateful encounter with the Wizard of Oz.
Starring Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, and Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard, this film brings the iconic characters to life in a whole new way.
