BREAKING: Work On Fridays Is Suspended For Some Government Employees

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) announced an important update today about working hours for government employees. Dubai authorities are rolling out a pilot program this summer to reduce working hours for certain government departments.

Work will be paused on Fridays, and the workday will be shortened to 7 hours.

Dubai’s new ‘Our Flexible Summer’ initiative is here to simplify things!

According to DGHR, the plan involves pausing work on Fridays. For 15 government entities, daily working hours will be reduced to just seven from August 12 to September 30.

Typically, most government employees in Dubai enjoy a two-and-a-half-day weekend, starting from noon on Friday and lasting through Sunday.
