If you’re grinding to the office every day, you’re likely cruising past one of Dubai’s main highways—Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Khail, or Mohamed bin Zayed Road. You know how these streets can get totally jammed during rush hour, especially now that schools are back in session. But no worries—the RTA has your back and is always dropping new solutions to keep traffic flowing smoothly on your route.

RTA opened 2 new bridges at Zaa’beel and Al Quoz 1 on Al Khail Road in the direction of Jebel Ali with a combined capacity of about 8,000 vehicles per hour
In Zaa’beel, there’s a sleek 700-meter bridge with three lanes that links traffic from Zaa’beel Palace Street and Oud Metha Street to Al Khail Road, heading toward Jebel Ali. This bridge can handle up to 4,800 vehicles per hour, keeping the flow smooth and steady.
In Al Quoz 1, you’ll find a 650-meter bridge with two lanes, seamlessly connecting traffic from Al Meydan Street to Al Khail Road, heading toward Jebel Ali. With a capacity of 3,200 vehicles per hour, it keeps things moving efficiently.
This is all part of the larger Al Khail Road Development Project, which will bring more bridges and lanes across seven key spots on Al Khail Road, including Al Jaddaf, Business Bay, Zaa’beel, Meydan, Al Quoz 1, Ghadir Al Tair, and Jumeirah Village Circle.
