Mall of the Emirates upgrade

The Mall of the Emirates is undergoing a renovation worth Dhs5 billion.

MOE is going next-level, and things are about to get way more exciting…

A game-changing Dhs5 billion transformation is underway at Mall of the Emirates, set to redefine the mall experience in Dubai. It’s not just about adding over 100 new stores — it’s about creating an immersive, all-day destination. Think luxury wellness clubs, cultural spaces, elevated dining zones, and a world-class cinema, all in the works. The future of MOE is a reflection of Dubai’s future: bold, creative, and packed with endless experiences.

“Twenty years ago, Mall of the Emirates set a new standard for retail and entertainment in the region,” says Khalifa Bin Braik, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management. “Today, we’re building on that legacy with a bold investment that reimagines what a mall can be. This transformation goes beyond just physical expansion – it’s about creating fresh ways for people to connect, relax, and find inspiration, all in one destination.”

Over 20,000 square meters of new retail space are being added, bringing more than 100 new stores spanning fashion, luxury, and lifestyle. This expansion is part of a bold new vision to create a “mall of new possibilities,” marking Mall of the Emirates’ 20th anniversary in grand style. Get ready for a fresh mix of global brands, streetwear, and exciting emerging labels coming soon.

A luxury wellness club

Wellbeing is taking center stage with the upcoming SEVEN Wellness Club, set to offer premium fitness, spa, and recovery experiences at the Kempinski Hotel. It’s a refined space designed to help you move, reset, and recharge. This is part of a Dhs1.1 billion phase already in progress, setting a new standard for holistic living within a mall environment.

A cultural hub in the making

The “New Covent Garden” cultural district is set to come to life in early 2025, in partnership with the Dubai Performing Arts Academy. Designed to unite art, performance, and community, it will feature a 500-seat theatre and dedicated rehearsal spaces, bringing creativity and culture right to the heart of the mall.

A new indoor-outdoor dining district

Dining is getting a major upgrade with a new space that blends the best of indoor and outdoor experiences. The mall’s first-ever open-air F&B courtyard, launching in early 2027, will be the heart of it all. In the cooler months, this lush green escape will become the perfect spot for everything from quick bites to leisurely lunches. Fast-casual concepts and interactive experiences will complete the offering.

Next-level entertainment

VOX Cinemas has already launched the world’s most advanced IMAX screen at Mall of the Emirates – and this is just the start of a major entertainment overhaul. Four brand-new concepts are set to debut by late 2026, offering something for all ages and completely redefining how we experience fun in a mall.

A revamped West End

The West End district is undergoing a complete transformation. With a refreshed design and vibrant new atmosphere, it’s being reimagined as a dynamic social hub. On top of that, infrastructure upgrades like barrierless parking with Parkin, improved access roads, and bridge enhancements (in collaboration with the RTA, rolling out by September) will make the entire experience smoother from start to finish.

Looking ahead

Sustainability is central to this transformation. Energy-efficient tech, smart systems, and eco-conscious design will be integrated throughout — reflecting Majid Al Futtaim’s commitment to creating innovative, inclusive, and future-ready spaces.
