The UAE’s Forecasted Eid Al-Fitr Holidays

That sounds like the perfect time to start planning! Eid Al Fitr is always a wonderful opportunity to unwind and explore new places. Whether you’re planning to soak up the sun on a beach or discover hidden gems within the UAE, it’s a great chance to make lasting memories.

Do you have any specific destinations in mind for your break? Or maybe you’re thinking of enjoying some relaxation closer to home?

Eid Al Fitr is a deeply significant occasion for Muslims worldwide, marking the end of the month of fasting (Ramadan) and the beginning of Shawwal. It’s a time of celebration, gratitude, and spiritual renewal, with families and communities coming together for prayers, feasts, and acts of charity.

Although Eid Al Fitr will be determined by the moon sighting, these are the predicted holiday dates

In 2025, based on the expected moon sighting, Ramadan could end on Saturday, March 29, or Sunday, March 30, and Eid Al Fitr could begin on Sunday, March 30, or Monday, March 31.

This makes it important to stay tuned for the official moon sighting announcement to confirm the exact start of Eid. But regardless of the exact date, it’s still a fantastic time to start planning your celebrations or holiday travel!

How are you planning to spend the holiday this year? Looking forward to some travel or just enjoying family time?

How many days are you getting off?

Exactly! The UAE usually grants 3 days off for Eid Al Fitr, which means if Ramadan lasts 29 days, Eid will likely start on Sunday, March 30, giving you the long weekend from March 30 to April 1. On the other hand, if Ramadan goes the full 30 days, Eid will likely begin on Monday, March 31, and your holiday could extend from March 31 to April 2, with March 30 also being a holiday to mark the end of Ramadan.

Having these extra days off makes for a perfect opportunity to relax, catch up with family, or travel. Do you have any ideas for how you’d like to spend this extended break?

As always, official dates will be confirmed closer to the time based on moon sightings, so keep an eye out for updates.
