One of the most meaningful months of the year, Ramadan, is almost here! It’s a time for fasting, giving back, spreading kindness, and strengthening faith. And here’s something to look forward to: fasting hours in the UAE will be shorter this year than last.
Ramadan is just under a month away…
The crescent moon for Shaaban was spotted on January 31, so Ramadan in the UAE is set to start on March 1—though it all depends on the final moon sighting.
Fasting hours this Ramadan are going to be shorter!
On the first day, fasting will be 12 hours and 58 minutes, and by the last day, it’ll go up to 13 hours and 41 minutes. That’s a big change from last year, when fasting stretched over 14 to 15 hours. Shorter hours mean the fast will be a bit easier this time around!
Ramadan 2025 is bringing a refreshing twist!
With Ramadan starting earlier this year, we’re in for cooler weather and shorter fasting hours for many. While the days will get a bit longer as the month progresses, it’s still a nice change from last year’s longer fasts. It’s the perfect opportunity to embrace the season with reflection, community, and gratitude, soaking up those peaceful mornings and evenings.
