In the Travellers’ Choice: Best of the Best Awards…
We probably don’t need to explain why Dubai’s allure is one-of-a-kind (but we’re going to anyway). Chances are, you’re one of the 88% of expats who chose to make this city home for a variety of great reasons. And if you ever need a refresher on why you fell in love with the UAE, we’ve put together a list of happy reminders to reignite that love all over again.
Maybe it’s the safety, the open-mindedness, the stunning beaches, the cutting-edge tech solutions, the rich culture, the year-round sunshine, the career opportunities, the tax-free income, the high quality of life; the world-class events, festivals, and sports tournaments; the luxury cars, the relentless can-do attitude, and the amazing food; the ambition, the top-tier healthcare, the visionary leadership, the epic and diverse landscapes – mountains, desert, coastline, islands, and urban sprawl; the entrepreneurial vibe, or the incredible fitness scene. Take your pick – or fall in love with all of them.
In one of the latest accolades from the travel-rating giant Tripadvisor, it seems we residents aren’t the only ones recognizing the golden, life-enhancing appeal of Dubai.
In their user-rated poll, Tripadvisor has ranked Dubai third for the ‘Best of the Best Travel Destinations in the World’ as part of their Traveller’s Choice Awards.
Last year, Dubai was the number-one travel destination, but this year, London took the top spot. From what we’ve been hearing, it seems like residents have had a challenging year, so we’re hoping this recognition as a top travel destination will lift spirits. And here’s to Dubai reclaiming its crown in 2026!
Bali, the ultimate beach, jungle, and surf paradise, secured second place; Italy’s breathtaking island of Sicily came in fourth; Paris claimed fifth, followed by Rome in sixth. Hanoi took the seventh spot, Marrakesh came in eighth, Crete landed ninth, and Bangkok rounded out the top ten. You can find the full list here.
