When is Globby V going to reopen?
Yeah, we know, we know… It literally just closed, but there’s no harm in having something to look forward to. So, after a quick search on the official Global Village Dubai website, we found out that the outdoor attraction will return from October 2025 to May 2026.
We don’t have the exact dates yet, but they’ll be announced closer to the time.

We don’t have all the details just yet, but we’re sure they’ll be revealed closer to the opening. And, of course, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the news to bring you the latest updates.
In the meantime, Global Village Dubai has already opened registrations for vendors to sign up for the new season. So, if you’re a homegrown vendor or an entrepreneur looking to showcase your creations to the world, now’s the time to sign up!
A little bit of history…
Global Village Dubai wasn’t always the massive attraction it is today. In fact, would you believe the very first Global Village took place at Creekside back in 1996? According to Emirates News Agency (WAM), there were just a handful of kiosks set up opposite the Dubai Municipality.
Then in 1997, Global Village expanded with 18 country pavilions — a number that would triple by 2005, reaching an impressive 46 countries.
For several years, the event was held in Oud Metha near Wafi City. However, as the space could no longer keep up with the growing number of visitors and exhibitors, Global Village relocated to Dubai Festival City, where it stayed for three years before finding its permanent home.
As it continued to grow (and grow…), Global Village eventually moved to its permanent home at Dubailand — and the rest, as they say, is history.
What a journey it’s been! And with the 30th season on the horizon, we can’t wait to see what Global Village Dubai has in store next. Stay tuned — something big is coming.
Here’s another cool fact: Global Village Dubai didn’t always run as long as it does now. In its early days, it used to open alongside the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). But as its popularity skyrocketed, Global Village carved out its own identity — becoming a standalone event and extending its season to span the cooler winter months.
Talk about a glow-up!
