The RTA has introduced a new bridge on Al Khail Road, connecting Al Khamila and Hessa Street. This development is designed to ease traffic flow from Jumeirah Village Circle for drivers heading towards Deira.
The bridge features two lanes and can handle up to 3,200 vehicles per hour. It’s part of the RTA’s ongoing efforts to enhance the city’s infrastructure and accommodate the needs of its expanding population.
According to the RTA, the bridge is designed to link residential areas with developing ones, ensuring that transportation is as efficient as possible.
To evaluate this efficiency, Lovin conducted a poll asking subscribers, “Did the new bridge improve traffic?” The results were predominantly positive.
As part of this transformation, upgrades were also made to the road surface over a stretch of 900 meters. Earlier this month, the RTA announced the opening of two additional bridges in Dubai, which are part of an intersection improvement project.
