UAE weather: Overcast skies, precipitation, and a decline in temperature

Winter is coming…..

The weather in the UAE is starting to shift. This morning, temperatures dropped to around 20°C, so if you were out and about, you probably noticed the cooler air. Today, the maximum temperature is expected to range from 25°C to 29°C, with lows dipping between 8°C and 14°C.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted a chance of rain over the next few days, with cloudy conditions expected in the northern and eastern regions of the UAE. This weather pattern is likely to bring light to moderate rainfall.

These cloudy conditions will continue until Wednesday, December 18.

The wind is picking up, with light to moderate gusts expected, but they could reach speeds of up to 40 km/h. The NCM has also issued a warning about dusty conditions as wind speeds increase, so those with dust allergies should take caution. Drivers are advised to be extra careful, as reduced visibility may impact road conditions.

These UAE weather forecasts follow reports of rain in several areas on Sunday, including Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Additionally, rough seas have been reported across the Arabian Gulf.

Two weeks ago, on December 7, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, called for a special prayer for rain, known as Salaat Al Istisqaa, to be held across the country.
